Educate 109 Boys in India to Build Safer Futures

Aman (name changed) spent his early childhood in Jaipur, where he began his schooling. From a young age, he developed a deep interest in painting and drawing. He would often spend hours creating pictures and sharing his love for art with children in his neighbourhood. Even as he grew older, his passion for art remained an important part of who he was.

A few years ago, Aman moved back to his village with his family. Continuing his education became increasingly difficult as he grew up in circumstances marked by deep social and economic vulnerability. His mother, maternal aunt and one of his sisters are engaged in sex work in Mumbai, a reality that has shaped much of the environment in which Aman and his siblings have grown up.

For a young boy, growing up surrounded by circumstances that he did not choose can make it difficult to imagine a different future. Yet Aman has continued to hold on to his education and his dreams. The circumstances into which a child is born should never determine the life they are able to build.

Aman’s determination is reflected in his academic performance. He secured an impressive 85.72% in his previous grade and is now studying in Grade 8 and is 16 years old. With your support, his school fees will be covered, helping him continue his education without the financial burden becoming another barrier in his journey.

His other sister, too, is receiving a scholarship through iPartner India’s “Educate Her, Empower Her” initiative, creating an opportunity for both siblings to pursue education and envision possibilities beyond the circumstances surrounding their family.

Alongside his studies, Aman continues to nurture his passion for painting and drawing. He dreams of developing his artistic abilities and, one day, creating an identity for himself through his art. His paintings are more than a hobby they are a glimpse into the future he imagines for himself.
