Just as our title indicates, "Our Hope Is For A Bright Future Through Education". We know that change in our lives is closely related to our ability to obtain a good education which can lead to a business or professional career. Our hope lies in our ability to make a contribution to our famillies and our country. Despite the fact that our classes were stopped in April due to the Corona Virus we continued our studies at home.
The students are monitored individually by supervisors from the Women Helping Women/Femme Aide Femme Program. The following is a summarized progress report of the twenty-two (22) student's we sponsored during the 2019-2020 School Year:
The supervisors noted thast the results of the five (5) below average students were partially due in part by the difficulty of intergrating in their new school environment. Remember, many of hese children have not had the advantage of a consistent education. Often times chilren are kept out of school due to lack of school funds or the need to work to help support the family.
Women Helping Women like every other non-profit have experienced difficulties, setback and realignments due to the Corona Virus, we stand committed to continue to support these children so that they can obtain their goal of a good education. We continue to serve a larger population of girls who often are the first to be taken out of school and marginalized in all aspects of their lives.
We thank you for your continued support and with your help we will increase our number of children for the 2020-2021 school year. We will keep you posted concerning start times for our students. The normal start time for our students is October. We will also provide more details about the background and progress of individual students. Our partners in Guinea, West Africa have made great strides in improving communication and overall reporting. A big thank you to our loyal donors for your generosity and patience.
From our twenty-two (22) children, parents, staff and administration team of Femme Aide Femme "Merci Beaucoup"!
