Recently, mosquito nets were distributed to several beneficiaries, including Fudia and her family. This simple but powerful intervention is helping protect them from malaria, one of the leading causes of illness in Sierra Leone.
For Fudia’s family, receiving a mosquito net means more than just a new household item—it means protection, safety, and peace of mind.
Mosquito nets create a protective barrier while families sleep, reducing exposure to malaria-carrying mosquitoes. When used consistently, they significantly lower the risk of infection—especially for children, who are among the most vulnerable.
And this directly connects to education.
When children are healthy, they attend school more regularly. When children are sick, they miss school and fall behind. By protecting children’s health, you are also protecting their education.
For girls like Fudia, your support helps remove one more barrier standing in the way of success. With better health and fewer sick days, she has a greater chance to stay in school, continue her education, and build a brighter future.
Healthy children learn. Protected children thrive. And educated children lead.
With gratitude,
