Ashok and Naresh

Dear Valuable Donors & Friends,

Greetings from RDOET (HAO India)!

With this letter, we are sharing a story of Ashok and Naresh. As you know your contributions to our program is very significant.

You must have read the progress report we had posted last time. The progress report indicates that not only do children get quality education in these schools but a deeper discussion around quality education gets initiated within the communities. In the report you could see how the incredible children performing well and learning more and more day by day in these schools. This has all been possible because of support from people like you. Thank you very much for all your support and contributions.

We will keep you posted on our progress.

With warm regards,

Sudhamanudu

From dust to dawn

Two brothers namely Bandamedi. Ashok was born on 11-1-1998 and Bandamedi. Naresh was born on 24-10-2001 who belong to a poor family whom we have taken into the program seeing their pathetic condition.

Ashok and Naresh come from a very poor family, their mother Sattama died when they were too young. Their father yadagiri is a drunkard and unable to feed his children. He is working as a coolie and earns Rs. 40 per day and spends most of the money on drinking and neglects his children. They live in a small hut which is in bad condition. As their father neglects them they live with their grandmother who is very old. While surveying this village the school head master narrated us the pathetic condition of these two poor children. On seeing their pathetic condition we have identified these two children in this program and extended all help for their education.

The children are having their midday meals in the school. They both can’t stay far from each other the big brother takes care of his small brother as mother. Ashok as he is only 12 years and very small to take care of himself but act as everything to his younger brother in all the aspects.

After they came into our program a little bit of their lifestyle has been changed. These children started showing interest in education. They started coming regular to school and by seeing their improvement his father started reducing his drinking habits day by day. These children got their books, bags, uniforms and other school needs. Now these children are getting good marks.

In the future these children may become the lamp light of many other children like them. We personally went and discussed with his father and told him and motivated to cooperate with his children and he himself will come into a good position. Now their life is far better than before.  Thus our vision and mission is proving, we are satisfied for the sustenance.
