According to current estimates, 80% of all schools are government schools making the government the major provider of education. Because of poor quality of public education, Indian children are privately educated. A study found that schoolchildren in Hyderabad's slums attend private schools. However, others have suggested that private schools fail to provide education to the poorest families. In their favour, it has been pointed out that private schools cover the entire curriculum and offered extra-curricular activities such as science fairs, general knowledge, sports, music and drama. There is some disagreement over which system has better educated teachers. Even the poorest often go to private schools despite the fact that government schools are free.
Children were very happy to receive the School Material for the Academic Year 2012-2013. Their parents are also very glad to see their children with new requirement. This is all because of your valid generous support of Global Giving which encourages children go to school. We extend our deep gratitude to all the donors and for the generosity.
