REPORT ON CELEBRATION OF INDIAN REPUBLIC DAY : IN AN IDENTIFIED SLUM AREA
SUMMARY : The project will enable 900 children to receive the National Festival for children who celebrates the Indian Republic Day.
ABOUT THE CHILDREN : It is a special day for children. This provided a extra large celebration with all the eatables. They are over joyed. The children are poverty stricken, down trodden, their dwelling places are in the rocky areas of lofty mountain rocks. Parents are basically stone cutters earning meager amount as their livelihood. Most of the children population is from SC dalits, lambada’s. Once upon a time their livelihood was within the forest region. A little improvement to the children in particular is educating themselves in Government Schools, NGO’s supporting indirectly through GlobalGiving. The children are healthy, happy after completing nearly a year. Wow, what a tremendous improvement in all around personality of children. Parents are also very happy to see their children and are grateful to you for the kind support.
RDOET IN ACTION : (RDOET) HAO India distributed National Flags, buns, refreshments to one and all. Children happily received them & enjoyed well.
REPUBLIC DAY : Republic Day is one of India's most anticipated national holidays that is celebrated with great pleasure every year. One of the highlights of the festival is the grand parade and celebrations at the India’s capital New Delhi. The Indian President, who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces takes salutes at India Gate. The national awards and recognition medals of bravery and other areas are given to three armed forces Indian Navy, Indian Airforce, Indian Army and also to Civilians who have shown different acts of valor in various situations. The parade aims to bring unity in diversity of all the States of our Country India and the spirit of unity and integrity represents our National Flag. The parade is broadcast across the country on radio and television and serves as one of the biggest attractions of the day. India has come a long way from being a newly independent nation to one of the fastest growing economies of the world.
