Dear Friends and supporters of EDAPO,
Greetings from Uganda!
We hope you are OK and all is well.
Please know that we thinking of you as a group, and and as individuals, with deep gratitude. We pray that God and Mother Nature will bless your life, family, work and surrounding environment in multiple ways.
Allow me share with you briefly:
Ten years ago, the majority of our students were not in school. They were wearing very old, worn-out clothes and the majority of them suffered sickness most of the time. EDAPO children used to eat a single meal a day and even then, only a quarter share. During those days, EDAPO children lost weight. It was possible for an EDAPO child to go for 12 months without a single smile. These were really hard times for them, and also for us, the caretakers—a tearful and very miserable experience.
Honestly speaking, we can’t thank you enough: Because of you, EDAPO has made remarkable and historic progress. Today, EDAPO children eat two meals a day, put on reasonable clothes, they are all in Schools—primary, high school and some are in universities, and generally speaking, they are all healthy, (they occasionally get sick like any other human being). Thank you for your donations and thank you so much for making this difference in the lives of these innocent Angels.
I am pleased to let you know that our children—your other children in Uganda—successfully completed their 2nd school term and are are beginning their final school term (third term) Monday September 11, 2017. They need school tuition and other school / life support requirements to allow them finish this academic year successfully.
In the Uganda education system, this final school term means that children at different levels do national examinations and graduate from one class to another. So, the earlier we get funds the better they perform.
This time around, in addition to school tuition and other student requirements, EDAPO is planning to build three (3) permanent school dormitories and one kitchen, a perimeter school fence, and school bore hole or well for clean water. This will require about USD $100,000. In this regard, EDAPO is requesting in addition to your usual support, if possible, one-time support from you or your friends. After the completion of this building project, EDAPO will recruit other students who will be paying school fees thus enabling sustainability.
Attached are current photos of EDAPO children.
May you enjoy the full sunshine of the Age of Enlightenment through your big heart of love, service and pure deeds. May the joy of your donation return to you through a million gates.
Sending you warm waves of Love and Blissful Blessings!
With respect and kind regards,
Mark Mugbe
