Report for Educate 600 Orphans in Rural Eastern Uganda
August 2016

On behalf of the entire community of Tororo, Busia and Bugiri I happy share with you our quarterly report and send our sincere appreciation to all our development partners, donors and well-wishers for the financial contribution to support the project Educate 600 Orphans in Rural Eastern Uganda .We are thank full the cooperation of the members of our communities, Local leaders and development partners local and International particularly The River Fund and Global Giving among others for continuous effort that has contributed to wellbeing and hope for the bright future of these vulnerable population mostly orphans and other vulnerable children in Uganda.

I am happy to report that the children are beginning their midyear examinations for the year 2016 and request that together we join our hearts in prayer as we wish them success in their exams. I hope these termly exams will pave way for their end of year exam in next term thus making their future brighter and building a stronger healthy generation.

Project Focus

The project focuses on providing quality education to all children and build a generation with life skill centered mind so as to alleviate poverty from among youth and girl-children.
With your support we shall achieve our goals and also promote health education and awareness among children and HIV/AIDS related activities to improve and sustain healthy generation through counseling, nutrition, care and support.

Achievements

This project Educate 600 rural orphans in Eastern Uganda has benefited directly over 558 children every year despite of the overwhelming increase of the vulnerability among children due to abject poverty this raises our concerns to find measures to control dire need of the support for children and their families.

Challenges

As the schools opened this term there have been challenges including the fear of famine. This may affect the performance of our children as some were helping their household to look for food. Sometimes some children go late to school and some absent themselves from attending classes altogether.

Conclusion

In conclusion the project strives to improve the quality of education in order to have better future for the country as we all know education is key for any country’s development. Knowledge is power for a nation’s future.

I give my sincere regards once again to all our donors for supporting our cause of bringing hope to the vulnerable children we serve, the young generation.
