BACK TO SCHOOL

There was great joy when the children and their guardians got the Good news of the schooling materials and new uniforms. The children were very, very happy for the support and were overjoyed as they got their back to school packages.

They are very appreciative and grateful to our dear donors at global giving for the ever generous support.

As much as we support the children’s education, they are always at the center of inevitable circumstances such as famine, poverty, hunger contributed by a natural disasters which lead to their sufferings.

When droughts strike like it is now in eastern region the children fall first victims to face these challenges, they are forced to go look for water either before or after school hours (in this I call it forced child labour, which violate children’s right). I also found out that the children do not have enough time rest and concentrate on the studies.

Another factor that may distort the children lives in education most especially now as we encounter dry season is malnutrition because of inadequate food due to famine that may strike as a result of late planting.

These factors, if not addressed may lead to school drop outs, child labor, early child marriage, rural urban migration, street kids etc. of which all these are the reasons why RARUDO exists to put all things rightly such that all children attain their rights. The rights to good and quality education, the rights to good health, the rights to good housing, better nutrition.

Generally there is need to help the children even at their homes but the resources are inadequate to reach them all.

The entire community shall be so glad if we could be able to extend some little support to these children in form of food, second hand clothes among others.

Thanks a lot for your LOVE and CARE.

Kind regards

Onyango Joseph
