LIVING HOPE GROUP TORORO-BUGIRI UGANDA

QUARTERLY REPORT

INTRODUCTION

Living hope group is a group in Uganda covering Tororo and Bugiri districts which receives funds from the River fund foundation to give educational support and the welfare of the children at school.

In this group, there is a total of 50 students, 20boys and 30 girls.

 AIM OF THE PROJECT

The group aims at providing children both in primary and secondary with school fees, sanitary towels, soap, tooth paste, tooth brush, feeding and mentoring.

PAYMENT OF FEES

This term we have paid school fees, feeding fee, and bought school requirements to all students

SCHOOL VISITS

Mentors have to arrange on how to visit the student and pupils during parent’s days at schools

ACHIEVEMENTS

As the living hope group members our children have benefited enough because from the time of funding the following are the achievements;

  • The 6 (six) students who were in S.6 joined university in the month of August 2025.
  • The mentors have encouraged children to have moral behaviors like discipline, abstinence more so to this young generation of today, more emphasis has been put on the children to study harder since they provided with the all the necessities for school.
  • Our parents have responded to paying half of their children’s fees and this has made the activity/work easier because they are ever monitoring these children while at schools and homes thus this is improving the children’s standards of education.
  • We were able to provide children with Books, pens & pencils and pay feeding fee as requirements at their respective schools and half of the school fees for them.

RECOMMENDATION

The mentors should mobilize and sensitize children/students on peer education

The parents and the mentors should continue to encourage the students to study hard for a better future and keep on reminding them that education is the key to success

 CONCLUSION

We extend our deep appreciation to the River Fund Team in USA and our donors GlobalGiving for giving support to Living Hope Group in Tororo and Bugiri provide their children better education.
