LIVING HOPE GROUP TORORO-BUGIRI TORORO (U)
Date: 14th/February, 2025

QUARTERLY REPORT FEBRUARY 2025.

INTRODUCTION

Living Hope Group is in Rural Eastern Uganda covering Tororo and Bugiri districts which receives funds from the River Fund to give educational support and the welfare of the children at school.

In this group, there is a total of 50 students, 20 boys and 30 girls.

Project Goal

The group aims to provide for the children both in primary and secondary with school fees, sanitary towels, soap, tooth paste, tooth brush, feeding and mentoring.

PAYMENT OF FEES

This year we have paid school fees, feeding fee, and bought school requirements for all students.

SCHOOL VISITS

Mentors will visit the student during parent’s days at schools.

ACHIEVEMENTS

As the Living Hope group members our children have benefited because from the time of funding the following are the achievements:

  •  8 pupils progressed from P.7 and joined secondary level and 6 students who were in S.6 are to join university.
  • We were able to pay children’s feeding fee, books, pens and pencils that are requirements at their respective schools and paid half of the school fees for them.
  • Our parents have responded to paying half of their children’s fees and this has made the activity/work easier because they are ever monitoring these children while at schools and homes thus this is improving the children’s standards of education.
  • The mentors have gone ahead to emphasis on positive behaviors like discipline, and peer education such as abstinence to the young generation.

RECOMMENDATION

The parents and the mentors should continue to encourage the students to study hard for a better future and keep on reminding them that education is the key to success

CONCLUSION

We wish to extend our appreciation to the River Fund Team in USA and our donors GlobalGiving for helping Living Hope Group in Tororo and Bugiri provide their children with a better education for a better life.
