Educate Vulnerable Children in Rural E. Uganda

INTRODUCTION

Living Hope group is in Uganda in Tororo and Bugiri Districts which receives funds from the River Fund and GlobalGiving. The funds received in the month of October were distributed as follows;

Bugiri received Ugx6,221,92

Tororo received Ugx 6,221,920/=

Therefore the total amount received was Ugx 12,443,841/=

ACHIEVEMENTS

As the living hope group members our children have benefited enough because from the time of funding the following are the achievements:

- We were able to pay children’s feeding fee and other requirements that were asked for at their respective schools and paid half of the school fees to them.

Mentoring of the children has been done very well and the children are responding to them openly.

CHALLENGES

As Living Hope Tororo and Bugiri we didn’t register a lot of hardships but only on ground there is need for an office and office accessories like computers,  files that can help in writing reports and storing of document for easy and quick references and accountabilities.

RECOMMENDATION

As Living Hope Tororo and Bugiri we do recommend that River Fund should provide office requirements to ease work in support for the children. The mentors of Living Hope Tororo and Bugiri do request River Fund organization to provide them with some facilitations for this will ease and motivate them to getting committed on doing the mentoring work to the children.

CONCLUSION

We are so grateful to the funders for the great work they are doing, because of them our children are comfortable and supported in schools and have better futures. Sincerely we thank you so much for your cooperation in support of our children.
