Care for OVC / child headed families.

We are making sure that all the school age going go to school from lower levels to high levels. We also monitor their performance when the school term closes.

Child headed families.

There is great care taken on this group of children. We provide them food both at school and at home.

Every group has to see to it that children of these families who are positive of HIV/AIDs go for their drugs and get them in time.

Health

We make sure our women, children and the community around keep healthy through balanced diet and quick treatment in short comings.

Day care centre

Some of our groups have formed day care centre, take care of children, provide break porridge and lunch for  children and the elderly women mostly done by Rwen group.

Home visit

We visit our child headed family and listen to their needs and counsel them, Those on ARVS we check on whether they take their drugs promptly. We also visit old women, take food, give comfort talks to avoid worries.

Referrals

We have continued to refer our youths to PEFO for tailoring, computer and hair dressing and these are girls from Rwen group.

Scholastic materials

We have continued to provide scholastic materials to our children. This help them to go to school in time and well equipped whenever we receive funds  through River Fund.

Uniforms

Uniforms are provided at every beginning of the year. Right now we are looking forward to providing scholastic materials and uniforms schools are opening on 04 -02-2019.

Developments

Our children’s performance has improved. Our children’s food is already in place since we bought it in time.

We have been boosted with new projects besides what we had but at a small scale.

HIV / AID, some our positive members’ treatment has been simplified to one tablet a day and with time they others will come to the same. They are very happy.

Challenges

Agriculture. The yield for the second, season has been very poor. Very little food and poor yield of the crops. There has been a long drought and we expect famine for our people.

Suggestions

We suggest that if possible food be bought for our groups to, be on a safe side for security of life this is posho and beans to avoid hunger in the nearest future.

Note from The River Fund:

We did provide funding for additional emergency  food supplies for the school children.
