In our ongoing efforts to ensure quality education and student engagement, we recently conducted feedback sessions in five schools across Kibra. These sessions provided an invaluable opportunity for students to voice their opinions, share their experiences, and contribute to the improvement of their educational environment.
"I feel grateful that our school values our opinions and listens to what we have to say. It makes me feel like I have a say in my own education." This sentiment was echoed by many students who valued the chance to provide input on various aspects of their schooling, from curriculum content to extracurricular activities.
As students shared their feedback, several common themes emerged, including the desire for more interactive and hands-on learning experiences, greater access to technology and resources, and increased support for personal and academic development. Another student, David, expressed, "I think we need more opportunities to learn outside the classroom and explore our interests. It would help us prepare for the future and discover our passions."
These insights will inform our ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and create a more student-centered learning environment in Kibra schools, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
