Every girl deserves the chance to learn, yet hundreds in Minna, Niger State remain out of school because their families cannot afford education. This project will help 500 vulnerable girls enroll and stay in school by providing school fees, uniforms, shoes, textbooks, and learning materials. Your support will give girls the opportunity to complete their education, avoid early marriage, and build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Poverty, gender inequality, and harmful social norms continue to keep many girls out of school in Minna. Families struggling to survive often prioritize boys' education, while girls are expected to work at home or marry early. Without access to education, these girls face lifelong poverty, limited employment opportunities, and greater vulnerability to exploitation, preventing them from reaching their full potential.
We will identify 500 of the most vulnerable out-of-school girls through schools, community leaders, and local partners. Each girl will receive school fee support, uniforms, shoes, textbooks, and essential learning materials for one academic year. We will also engage parents, religious leaders, and community stakeholders through awareness sessions that promote girls' education and encourage long-term school attendance.
Educating 500 girls will create lasting change that extends beyond the classroom. More girls will complete school, delay early marriage, gain better employment opportunities, and become financially independent. Their increased earnings and knowledge will strengthen families, improve children's education and health, and contribute to more resilient communities, creating a cycle of opportunity that benefits generations to come.
