Learning Materials Open Doors to Possibility

Dear Friends,

Learning Materials Open Doors to Possibility!

According to Global Citizen, lack of access to books remains one of the major barriers to quality education.

Schools are resuming this month in Nigeria. Many children in underserved communities will return to school without the basic learning materials they need!

One of these children is Iko, a pupil in one of the Christ Disciples Missions Primary Schools in Mubi Hills, Adamawa State. His parents are peasants and, like many families in the community, cannot always afford writing materials, textbooks and other educational resources required for effective learning.

Your support can make a significant difference!

Access to books, writing materials and suitable classroom furniture can improve pupils’ participation, confidence and ability to learn.

Comfort, Coordinator of the CDM Primary Schools, explains the value of this intervention:

“Your intervention will enhance education in this locality, help the children grow academically, and enable them to do better in society.”

Learning Materials Should Not Be a Luxury

Access to books and educational resources should not be a luxury for children in underserved communities.

Books provide pathways to literacy, confidence, dignity and opportunity. A well-equipped classroom gives a child more than somewhere to sit. It creates an environment where that child can participate, learn and imagine possibilities beyond present circumstances.

Your investment can help transform classrooms into learning spaces where children can read, learn and dream.

More Work Still Needs to Be Done

Significant needs remain across the CDM Primary Schools.

CDM Primary School Lainde still requires flooring and windows.

CDM Primary School Gilmari requires additional desks and bookshelves.

The schools also need more:

• Textbooks
• Storybooks
• Writing materials
• Classroom furniture
• Educational resources for the growing number of pupils

These resources are essential to creating safer, more functional and more supportive learning environments.

Help Us Reach More Children in 2026

Our commitment in 2026 is to continue helping children in Mubi Hills gain access to books, literacy support and improved learning spaces.

Our goal extends beyond helping 500 children return to school and remain in school.

We want to help them build brighter futures through learning.

We deeply appreciate our recurring donors whose consistent support continues to change lives across Northern Nigeria.

We still need US$4,007 to reach our fundraising goal.

A recurring donation can provide sustained support and help us respond to the educational needs of more children throughout the year.

Please share this project with your friends, family and colleagues and invite them to invest in children like Iko and his peers.

Every book, writing material, desk and learning resource brings us closer to a future where a child’s circumstances do not determine their access to quality education.

Thank you for believing in the power of education and for continuing to support children like Iko in Mubi Hills to have a brighter future.

With profound gratitude,
