Puneet ( name changed) joined Ashwini Charitable Trust(ACT)when he was 7 years old. He is the first generation literate in his family which comprises of his father who is a cable mechanic, mother who works as a house maid and a younger sister who is now in Class 8. ACT has been instrumental in bringing about tremendous change in the 7 year old boy who stepped in with nothing but a supportive family which had enough faith in admitting their child at the trust. 10 years have gone by and he is currently in class 12 pursuing science at a prestigious college in Bangalore. As a child he was fond of bikes and cars and he wanted to study automobile engineering. His dream also grew along with him and now he works meticulously to get through the engineering exam entrance test for which ACT is guiding him. The volunteers at ACT, the career guidance sessions, computer training have helped him to hone his skills all along his journey. He serves an example to prove that transformations can happen with hard work and perseverance and his life can change for the better through education.
