Educate 350 Refugee Children in Borno, Nigeria

The project to educate 350 refugee children in Borno, Nigeria is currently ongoing, with implementation activities progressing despite funding limitations. Out of the total funding goal of $44,000, only $25 has been raised so far from 1 donor, leaving a remaining balance of $43,975 needed to fully execute the project. The limited funds received have been carefully directed toward initial outreach, identification of vulnerable children, engagement with local schools, and preparatory arrangements for psychosocial support activities. However, the current financial gap continues to slow large-scale implementation, especially the provision of tuition support, uniforms, learning materials, and trauma counseling services for the targeted children.

Community leaders, displaced families, and partner schools have shown strong commitment toward the success of the project, and beneficiary verification has already identified children most at risk of exploitation, child labor, and early marriage due to prolonged absence from school. Continuous fundraising efforts are underway to mobilize additional support needed to commence full scholarship disbursement and educational interventions. With increased donor support, the project remains positioned to restore hope, improve school enrollment, and provide a safe learning environment for conflict-affected children across the target communities in Borno State.
