Dreams come true – Fullfilling IFS dreams of Anshi by – “The Project Vision”
Eleven year old Ms. Anshi, a visually challenged music prodigy, developed interest for learning foreign languages and was able to learn and sing in about 12 international languages. Anshi is a Vision Ambassador with Project Vision, promoting eye donation through various platforms she gets for her musical programs. Among the 14 winners of 'Ujjwala Balyam' award initiated by the state women and child development (WCD) department of Kerala for the first time, Anshi was the winner in Malappuram district. This visually challenged girl defeated 16 other participants who were normal children to bag the award. She is adept in singing, music composing and a keyboard player. Anshi has entered the final of the 'Kutti Patturumaal', a Mappilapaattu music reality show on Kairali TV. "Anshi's talent and attitude towards life have made us all spellbound,”
Anshi’s dream is to become a diplomat, an IFS officer. Knowing about this, Project Vision adopted Ms. Anshi for her future studies, to help her realise her dreams. This was formally done at the launch of the Million Eyes Film Festival. During the program Anshi sang multi lingual songs which thrilled the audience and was also felicitated for her excellence in music.
A short film festival launched to spread awarness to a million…….
Million Eyes is an International Short Film festival initiated by The Project Vision to spread awareness about blindness and spreading the message of vision to one million people through a short film making contest.
A renowned Film Director launched the Million Eyes International Film Festival at CMS College, Kottayam on the 6th of February 2018.
The objective to engage the visual media professionals on issues of vision and blindness with a long term objective to communicate to the society through them and of reaching out to one million people on the advocacy of eye donation could be achieved, by creating a global platform for people, proficient in making short films. This generates a better knowledge, attitude and perception among people regarding blindness and eye donation activities starting from the makers of these short films, through mutual discussion and sharing of ideas among crew members and finally reaching out to their contacts through social Medias. This ultimately covers a larger audience and the objective of reaching out to a million people is achieved.
This program is sure to take the message to a large number of youngsters, especially within the college campuses. Moreover a significant number of people from the visual media sector, engaged in this program, would get an opportunity to know more about these issues and thus become future delegates to communicate the message to the public.
The online registration for the festival has been launched. Anyone can register now online for the competition at www.theprojectvision.org/millioneyes.
