The project aims to support 100 vulnerables ( orphans & those from extremely poor households). Lack of access to education & basic needs, walking longer distances in hotter & rainy seasons, primitivness of parents are the problems children face. The funds raised will be used to buy scholastic materials, pay tuition, meals, and physio-social support to keep them at school and their well-being inorder to create a safer & brighter future, reduce early dropouts, high literate rates & idleness.
Primitivness of parents This is as a result of the 1981-1986 NRA war that took place in areas of mijinje, kawuku & Nakaseke. This has made parents lack knowledge to educate children as its a wastage on their side. Children walk longer distances to reach schools during hotter & rainy seasons which burdens many and endup dropping out of school. Lack of access to scholastic materials and meals to keep them at school since an empty stomach can disrupt the entire system.
Through providing sets of scholastic materials ( pens, pencils, books, rims, uniforms) and tution as well, children will be kept safely at school without any fear in them. Village trainings on importances of education to empower parents with courage to educate their children as education is the kay to success . Boarding facilities will be enhanced to reduce longer distances walked by children to easily reach in class on time for their comfort and safety.
The project will educate over 100 children which will increase on the high literacy rates in the community . On addition to that, reduced school dropouts, early pregnancies and forced marriages will be annexed to create a health and safer place for the children to staay in. Knowledge acquisition by girls on how to deal with their menstrual without fear and bullying. High levels of literacy as children will be lights of the world through attending school on a daily basis without fail.
