Future Doctors and Nurses!
The 2018-2019 school year at Mustard Seed Communities’ Little Angels Learning Centers (LALC) in Jamaica has begun with much excitement! We welcomed students in Kingston and Gordontown, and they have many things to look forward to this year. On a typical day, students spend time learning both as a group and individually through lessons and play. All of the children also receive two nutritious meals a day.
Students are also able to participate in various enrichment programs. One of the favorite yearly activities is our annual Career Day. Professionals from across Jamaica are invited to talk about their work with the children. In the past, nurses, police officers, firefighters, and pharmacists have attended. It is a great learning experience for the students, and also a lot of fun as they are able to dress up and imagine who they want to be when they grow up!
Because of you, the Little Angels Learning Center students receive a high-quality early childhood education and the daily nutrition needed to give them the head start in life that all children deserve. Thank you for support!
