By James Aleko | Project Director

The "Education for All Children in Africa: The Time is Now" project aims to improve access to quality education for all children in Africa. Here's an update on progress:

Key Achievements
- Increased Awareness: The project has raised awareness about the importance of education for all children in Africa, highlighting challenges such as limited access to schools, poor infrastructure, and violence against children.
- Community Engagement: Organizations like Humana People to People and Save the Children are working with local communities to improve education, providing training for teachers, and supporting parents in promoting education.
- Advocacy: The project has led to advocacy efforts, calling on governments and policymakers to prioritize education, increase funding, and implement policies that support access to quality education for all.

Impact
- Improved Access: Efforts have been made to increase access to education, particularly for disadvantaged groups, including children with disabilities and refugees.
- Quality Education: Initiatives focus on improving the quality of education, including teacher training and provision of educational materials.
- Community Empowerment: Local communities are being empowered to take ownership of their children's education, promoting sustainability and long-term impact.

Next Steps
- Sustainability: Ensuring the long-term sustainability of project initiatives, including securing funding and government support.
- Scaling Up: Expanding project reach to benefit more children and communities across Africa.
- Monitoring Progress: Continuously monitoring project progress, identifying areas for improvement, and adjusting strategies as needed.
