Almost a thousand patients benefited from the first medical mission in cooperation with Foundation University and Ohana Medical Missions, Inc. at the Edgar Sevilla Pasimio Memorial Medical Clinic.
25 doctors from Hawaii rendered free medical services for the community.
The following services were offered: Adult Medicine; Minor Surgeries, (such as excision of mass, circumcision); Pediatrics; Dental; Optometry (with free eyeglasses); Pharmacy (with free medicines and vitamins); Blood pressure taking; Cholesterol and Sugar monitoring and OB-Gyne consultations.
Ohana Medical Missions, Inc. was part of the Philippine Medical Association of Hawaii. Aside from the free medical services rendered to the community, the doctors also held lectures for students in medicine and other health-related sciences from the different educational institutions in Dumaguete.
The Edgar Sevilla Pasimio Memorial Medical Clinic is located at the north campus of Foundation University, along Dr. V. Locsin St., Dumaguete City and is geared towards serving the general public of Dumaguete City through state-of-the-art facilities and industry-grade care options while serving as a teaching clinic for Foundation University’s nursing program.
