With the aim to serve the nearby communities of Dumaguete City, the Edgar S. Pasimio Memorial Clinic was inaugurated through a blessing rite and short program.
Located at Foundation Preparatory Academy Campus, Dr. V. Locsin St., the new healthcare facility was named after Edgar Sevilla Pasimio, who spent four equally-fruitful and inspiring years of his life at Foundation University, as a generous benefactor and source of inspiration for the community through his story of success as an engineer, tax consultant, janitor, businessman and was a former member of the United States Navy.
Dr. Edmund Pasimio, eldest son of the late Edgar Pasimio, together with FU President Victor Vicente “Dean” G. Sinco unveiled the facility’s marker to signify the beginning of a new venture which has a focus on community healthcare service.
The building design which included recycled glass bottles bearing the signatures of benefactors, stakeholders and officials are already installed in the walls of the building. The bottles, ushering in natural light, shows one the University’s innovations in promoting environmental sustainability.
The Edgar Sevilla Pasimio Memorial Clinic is geared towards serving the general public of Dumaguete City through state-of-the-art facilities and industry-grade care options while serving as a teaching clinic for Foundation University’s nursing program. The clinic will extend public healthcare services to the university community and will host an onsite pharmacy.
