Providing Medical Relief after Ecuador Earthquake

Project Report | May 26, 2016
Nearly $2M in Supplies For Guayaquil Hospitals

By Patti Mangan | BOARD MEMEBER

Hello and thank you GG supporters!

We have news to share. We have packed two containers bound for Ecuador. The first is carrying primarily medical equipment valued at $200,000. This equipment was donated/collected from local Bay Area hospitals. On an ngoing basis we drive around the Bay for scheduled equipment donations -so that when an event happens - such as this earthquake - we are fully prepared to respond, both here in the US and in Latin America, primarily in Peru.

The second container is packed with $750,000 in medical supplies, from costly surgical kits to gauze - this container is a life saving gift to the doctors and nurses as well as the end recipients - people in need in Ecuador.

In addition - collabprating with our partner Americares - over $1 miilion in medicines are on the way to hosptials in Ecuador.

All great news and more to come. Thank you for helping us to achieve our goals.
