VIDA is making a last ditch effort to save our project in Ecuador. Although VIDA has experienced record shipments in 2018 to our projects throughout South America, sadly we have not been able to send aid due to a lack of funding both here in the U.S. and Ecuador. Although the devastating earthquake seems like a distant memory, the plight of millions of impoverished people is as bleak as the day the earthquake struck. Unfortunately, VIDA's decades of medical aid to Ecuador is drawing to a close as funds to pay for shipments have dried up and the cost to clear containers in Ecuador is going up. This double hit is making shipments nearly impossible. The VIDA team is working hard to raise funds to continue with this project and we hope that we can count on the continued support of the GlobalGiving community in saving this important mission
