This project aims to make accurate awareness-raising information available and accessible to the general community, and to women who are victims of various forms of physical torture and sexual violence in particular, in order to reduce vulnerability and panic and dispel myths surrounding the Ebola epidemic, by providing them with the necessary resources, such as: protective masks, disinfectants, and other protective products; disseminating information and awareness messages on prevention
The current situation in the DRC is marked by a new and serious Ebola outbreak. The eastern part of the DRC has not been spared from this threat, as the country has already recorded more than 513 confirmed cases to date. The poorest and most vulnerable populations-such as women who have suffered various forms of physical torture and sexual violence, and those displaced by war-are the hardest hit by the negative impacts of the Ebola outbreak, which is ravaging eastern DRC.
It is therefore urgent to address the problems arising from this outbreak: By providing them with the necessary resources, such as protective masks, disinfectants, and other protective products; by disseminating information and awareness messages on prevention; by reducing panic within the community at large; and by distributing handwashing stations, leaflets, and other awareness materials on good hygiene practices; Producing public service announcements, programs, and awareness messages
-Accurate information to raise awareness, reduce vulnerability and panic, and dispel myths surrounding Ebola is made available and accessible to the general public; -The supply of basic resources, including masks and disinfectants, is ensured. -The public is aware of how to prevent the Ebola outbreak -The public is well-informed about the disease -Hygiene measures are clearly defined
