Updates on Ebola Orphans Aid Project

By Sylvanus Murray | President

Since our last project report, our organization provided additional support with food, clothing, school items and trauma counselling for 10 Orphans in the western area of Freetown and 5 in the northern region of Makeni. We were also able to provide school items and food for 5 orphans in a new region - Kono. Throughout the period under review, we also continued our sensitization programs  on stigmatization, marginalization and abuse in respect of Ebola Orphans.

An Ebola Orphan caregiver who received some school items and food supplies from us in respect of one orphan under her care has this to say:

"I am so happy and grateful for the books, uniforms, pencils, pens and food I received from AID Sierra Leone for one of the orphans by the name of Fatmata Kamara, presently under my care here in Makeni. May God continue to bless and provide for AID Sierra Leone so that they can continue supporting Ebola Orphans in Makeni and other parts of the country."

We would also like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our partners and friends who donated their hard-earned  cash in support of Ebola Orphans in Sierra Leone through the GlobalGiving platform.
