At The Noakes Foundation and Eat Better South Africa’s we are continuing with our mandate to educate the lower-income communities. We are continuing with education about nutrition and our programme participants and the general public can continue with their LCHF even during the lockdown due to COVID-19.
We have continuing to keep in touch with the participants that were part of our previous 6-month intervention and our board members are constantly sharing positive messages, encouragement and on how to keep positive during this hard time. The EBSA team is trying, by all means, to continue the work virtually and continue our communication with our affiliates too.
Eat Better South Africa is still planning on expanding and starting new interventions in areas where we had interventions and in a new area called Mamre, a small rural town, situated on the Northern-most border in the City of Cape Town metropolitan municipality in the Western Cape province of South Africa. The intervention in Mamre will be headed up by Sylvia Scholtz a Community Coach of Eat Better SA who has been part of changing the future outlook of health in the under-resourced communities of South Africa since 2015. She is passionate about everything health & nutrition-related and also runs her own community gym in Atlantis.
