On September 7 and 19, 2017, Mexico was hit by two earthquakes of 8.2 and 7.1, respectively, which affected the states of Chiapas, Mexico City, State of Mexico, Guerrero, Morelos, Puebla and Oaxaca. From that moment on, NGOimpacto's commitment was to use all our experience to create this project in the state of Chiapas. The inclusion of women in disaster recovery processes has been fundamental to ensure the sustainability and success of community actions as a whole, considering that disasters affect them differently. This is how Casa de las Mujeres Santiago el Pinar "Adriana Aguerrebere", since its reconstruction, has become a place that responds to these needs, strengthening the rights of women and girls and promoting greater resilience in the face of future disasters. After more than 4 years we believe it is time to close this campaign, we thank all national and international donors who came through GlobalGiving to support the reconstruction. We continue to work in the strengthening and formation of women, if you are interested in learning more and support, I leave you the link to the projects.
