United for a sweet day: employees take action for solidarity
The Easter party for the patients of the Children's Cancer Institute was filled with many new friends. The group of volunteers joined their efforts to carry out the event, and won an extra boost that made the occasion even more special, with the support of the institution's employees.
The group had the opportunity to help before and during the party which took place at the Integrated Support Center.
During the weeks leading up to the event the organization helped by the partners planned the party's attractions by arranging the Easter Nests, Rabbits foot prints were set around the building. On the day of the event the volunteers helped to decorate The play center, they also painted the children's faces like little rabbits, they gave them chocolates, promoting many other activities, allowing an exchange of experiences with lots of love and affection for the children and their families assisted by the ICI.
The project developed by the Personal Department team aims to provide its team of employees with the involvement and participation in actions that aim the patients and their families, aiming to keep alive the cause that moves the institution. With the day to day rush sometimes it makes us forget the real reason for us being here.
Actions like this make us share happy moments with the families, it reminds us that all the efforts we make motivates us said ICI PD ( HR ) coordinator. The event had such a positive result that we intend to repeat them on many occasions through out the year.
