Growing and Learning Together

The last three months have been an amazing time of growth at BF Preschool. Our main goal was to create a happy and safe place where children feel confident to try new things. We have focused on helping our students grow in three main ways: how they think, how they play, and how they get along with others.

Active Minds and Active Bodies

We believe that learning should be fun and hands-on. This term, our students worked hard on their "fine motor skills" through drawing, painting, and crafting. We also made sure to stay active! Through outdoor play and games, the children are building their strength, balance, and coordination. Whether they are sitting quietly to draw or running outside, they are learning something new every day.

Exploring Our World

Our lessons this period were like a big adventure. First, we learned about our beautiful home, Timor-Leste. The children explored our local culture, our food, and our wildlife. Then, we traveled even further! We learned about different continents and countries around the world. By painting flags and making maps, the children learned about the world in a way that was easy and exciting to understand.

Celebrating Our Community

One of our favorite highlights was celebrating International Children’s Day on May 30th. It was wonderful to see about 150 parents and community members join us for a day of joy and laughter. We also held special meetings for parents to share helpful tips on how to support their children's growth at home. We believe that when parents and teachers work together, our children succeed!

What’s Next?

We are so proud of everything our students have achieved so far. We are already looking forward to our next big trip: a visit to the mini zoo at the President Palace in Ai-Tarak Laran! It’s going to be a wonderful day of seeing animals and learning about nature.
