Fostering Holistic Development Through Experiential Learning and Parental Engagement at Ba Futuru Preschool

At Ba Futuru Preschool, we are dedicated to nurturing the holistic development of children through innovative experiential learning and active parental involvement. This year, we had a memorable highlight with our field trip to Timor Port on September 9th, 2025. Fifteen children, accompanied by three dedicated teachers, explored the port’s operations through storytelling and a guided tour, providing them with a firsthand understanding of how a busy port functions—an experience they will cherish and remember.

Our teaching approach continues to evolve with lively songs, creative activities, and mindfulness practices such as meditation, brain gym exercises, and yoga. These activities create a calm and focused environment, supporting children's emotional well being and fostering a positive attitude towards learning.

Recognizing the vital role of parents in early childhood development, we have conducted engaging parenting sessions focused on early stimulation for children aged 2-5. Parents actively participate in discussions, observe, and practice activities they can do at home to support their child’s growth. Their enthusiasm and commitment affirm our belief that parental involvement is crucial for children’s success.

To expand our impact, we plan to organize more workshops, provide educational resources, and foster a supportive community where parents can share experiences and build confidence in nurturing their children’s potential.
