Our dream is a world in which everyone who has to deal with childhood cancer, feels represented and supported and is therefore able to take control of their own life.
The VOKK (Dutch Childhood Cancer Parent Organisation) is a committed association of everyone who has or had to deal with childhood cancer. We are a reliable partner in the world of childhood cancer.
The VOKK is professional and knowledgeable and at the same time warm and involved. Our employees and volunteers know what it is like when your child has cancer or has had cancer as a child. Based on this committed motivation, we continuously work towards better care and quality of life for children, young people and families, during but also long after curative and palliative treatment or death.
The VOKK is there for everyone who has to deal with childhood cancer: parents, children and young people who have (had) cancer, siblings, adults who had cancer as a child and their immediate family and environment. We are also there for families where a child has died of cancer. We focus on the specific needs of these different groups.
The VOKK connects, supports, informs and represents the interests of our supporters. In this way we strengthen everyone who has to deal with childhood cancer to keep control of their own lives. We also represent their voice in healthcare, research, policy and politics. Everything we do is stated
cooperation and participation are central and we focus on the different needs of our target groups. We work demand-oriented and think in terms of possibilities.
