Greetings,

Thank you all so much for your support and generous contributions to our Nepal Medical Trip with Healing the Children (HTC).  We had a very successful trip thanks to the dedication of these wonderful volunteers including:

  • 1 general orthopod
  • 1 anesthesiologist
  • 1 ob/gyn surgeon
  • 2 podiatric surgeons
  • 2 podiatric residents
  • 1 team administer
  • 2 OR nurses
  • 2 general volunteers
Our team worked in partnership with Nepsl Orthopedic Hospital mefical officers for 6 days.   We screened 109 patients over 30 children. We performed over 50 procedures on 19 patients in 5 days. We provided 12 custom braces to patients and provided over 10 advanced diagnostic imaging tests.  This was highly impactful. One of our patients Chandra 8 years old male with clubfoot had never been to school because he couldnt walk there on his own. We also treated post trauma, bone infection, residual clubfoot, post polio complications and a sequela from a compartment syndrome in a 8 year old little girl. Every child we see has a story and we help to change their lives toward a future of possibiities through more independent mobility.  Your donations are critical to this by paying for MRI's, crutches, follow up care, and other expenses needed to fully assist the child.  It was an amazing trip yet again thanks to you - our  donors!
