What do the parents say about Dragonfly?

By Sylvia van Meerten | Executive Director

This time of year is slightly bittersweet for us at Dragonfly Forest.  The summercamp season has ended and all the hard work to prep for next summer has begun.  This is the time of year when we reflect on our work and lay the groundwork for improvements.  We ask our campers, their parents and our staff for feedback each year.  Here are some highlights from our camper parents:

Dragonfly is awesome it allows my son to do activities that he could not normally do due to his condition. It also helped him understand that there are others that are similar to himself.

Dragonfly has been a complete blessing for my son! He has learned to be more independent and socially he has developed in so many ways! The staff at Dragonfly are truly special- we thank you for all you do!

The world needs more places like Dragonfly Forest. Inclusive, loving and fun.

And our campers say this:

I love how Dragonfly ignores issues people have and allow them to feel like a regular person would instead of feeling handicapped.

People here are just like you and no mean people. Archery is now my favorite sport!

Dragonfly is a place where people can feel like they have a place to call home even if stuff is not going good at home when they come to dragonfly they feel like they belong no matter what.

THANK YOU for being part of our camp!
