Our campers are the best people in the world, and we feel that they deserve the best counselors in the world. Our staff are a diverse group and we recruit them from all over the country. We interview them rigorously, check their backgrounds carefully, and review their answers with an experienced team. Our program is fairly competitive, and we don't hire everyone who applies. We feel that our campers and their families deserve to have engaging, compassionate counselors, who have a strong work ethic.
Once we find these incredible people, we design a week of intense staff training to give them the best counseling tools in the nation, plus a wealth of knowledge about autism, 22Q, asthma, sickle cell and hemophilia. This staff training is occuring as we speak! Our staff have arrived and they are learning all about our camp!
We are totally impressed with our 2015 summer staff! They are hardworking, smart, and so kind. They give up their summers to help other people's kids and we are grateful for their giant hearts. Cheers to you, camp counselors! We are grateful for your work.
Here is a picture of our staff for our youngest campers, in the Red Unit. They help kids who are just 7 or 8 years old attend camp for one whole week without their parents!
