ACE Charity's Quality Education Through Learning Resource Centres in Africa (QETLA) program aims to address the learning poverty in public primary schools, in disadvantaged communities. The Learning Resource Centres (LRCs) provide access to conducive learning spaces for school children and flexible supplementary literacy and numeracy instructions that are tailored to meet diverse learning needs and styles of learners, with the ultimate focus of improving learning outcomes. A huge part of the LRC is the library, which is fully equipped with textbooks in line with the national curriculum to ensure pupils who can't afford textbooks have access to the learning materials necessary for them to thrive in their studies.
To ensure learners keep having access to the required textbooks needed to learn, in February, ACE Charity organised a book drive to mark the Valentine's Day celebrations to raise funding for the purchase of new textbooks and we were amazed by the love from all our amazing donors. With the funds raised we were able to buy 121 textbooks across primary 1 to 6 class. Yay!
The ACE Charity's Learning Resource Centres give our beneficiaries the opportunity to access books that help keep them learning. Kindly keep supporting our centres by donating and sharing why you choose to support us with your community of family and friends.
Thank you!
