Shoes That Grow
The Global Uplift Project
Over 1.5 billion people suffer from soil transmitted diseases worldwide, mainly children. Without shoes, they get parasites, worms, and other diseases. These can be disfiguring, even debilitating. Since children's feet grow so fast, they quickly outgrow donated shoes, leaving them once again exposed.
The Shoe That Grows changes that. It is made of heavy duty recycled rubber and reinforced mesh nylon with adjustable straps. It expands through five sizes, so lasts for years. It costs just $12 per pair.
On February 4th, 2026, we distributed 100 Shoes that Grow to children at the Gambela Primary school in Isiolo.in Kenya. This brings to 1,065 the number of shoes TGUP has donated to Kenyan children. Many thousands more are in need.
