The Distribute 500 Emergency Flood Relief Kits project has made limited financial progress during the reporting period. The project has received a total of $1 from 2 donors, representing just 0.005% of the $20,000 fundraising target, with $19,999 remaining to be raised. There are currently no monthly donors supporting the project.
Due to the limited funds raised so far, the planned procurement and pre-positioning of 500 emergency flood relief kits have not yet been fully implemented. The project team remains focused on mobilizing additional financial support to enable the purchase of essential relief supplies, including water purification tablets, mosquito nets, blankets, hygiene items, cooking utensils, oral rehydration salts, and child-specific supplies.
The project has an implementation period of eight months, making continued fundraising particularly important. Reaching the $20,000 target will allow the organization to prepare and distribute emergency kits to approximately 500 vulnerable families, representing about 3,000 people, affected by seasonal flooding along the Niger River. Additional donor support is urgently needed to move the project from the fundraising stage into active preparedness and emergency response.
