The Dallas County VOAD chose Trusted World as the non-profit to handle all of North Texas donations during the days leading up to and after Hurricane Harvey. Over $380,000 in cash and $19 million in in-kind goods were donated to help the victims. Today, Trusted World continues to monitor the situation and provides support as needed.
It appears as if Houston has cleaned up, and everyone is going back to work and living their life again. But the need remains, it takes time to rebuild, and Trusted World is committed to being there for at least two more years.
Trusted World works with local agencies, such as Bread of Life to ensure the individuals who need us the most receive the support they need to rebuild their lives. Currently, Trusted World is supplying clothing and nonperishable food to Help I'm Hurting in Port Arthur to help stabilize those in need.
Trusted World is currently in Phase 2 – 4 months to 2 years
During Phase 2 Trusted World will continue to monitor the basic needs and provide resources as needed. The new focus will be on building supplies, tools, and logistics. Monitoring and ensuring the correct and necessary tools are received to ensure the rebuilding process continues. If necessary, Trusted World will open up donations again to gather the needed items.
This process is known as the stabilization process.
