This project supports our disabled young people as they reach the final years of secondary school and beyond to access higher education, vocational training and employment opportunities in Tanzania. Just Wheels provides wheelchairs, education and health support, transport and practical assistance to help young people to get mobile and remain in education. This Youth Project aims specifcally to fund further education and help disabled young adults acheive financial security

Challenge

In rural Tanzania, disabled young people face significant barriers to education, healthcare and independence due to poverty, stigma and limited access to appropriate mobility equipment. Many cannot attend school or continue into further education. provides appropriate wheelchairs, educational support and practical assistance, helping young people with physical disabilities access education, improve health and mobility, and build more independent, dignified and sustainable futures.

Solution

This project will remove key barriers preventing disabled young people in rural Tanzania from continuing their education after secondary school. Through tuition support, accessible accommodation, mobility equipment, mentoring and ongoing practical support, participants will be able to pursue university, college or vocational training.
