The LDPA is taking the time to assess the future of the Wheelchair Basketball competition. How do we build the movement, when at the moment we have no long term sponsor? How do we try to make practice sessons more affordable, when the cost of petrol is going up, but people have to have affordable, accessible transport?
We had a lot of success, as well as a lot of challenges.
Donor money is increasingly hard to find, and we need to make sure we can develop a programme that long term, is sustainable.
Over the next few months we will be talking with stakeholders, and figuring out the way forward. We know we want to keep the competition growing, but the best way to do that will require creative thinking.
We wanted to take this chance to thank you for what you have done, to help build a wheelchair basketball competition in Laos. We still have a long way to go, but we couldn't have got this far without you.
