Second Phase of Dignitary Packs Distribution

By Notsile Nkambule | Comms, Resource Mobilization & Events Manager

Moya is a CBO that strives to support communities. This project focuses on the needy children who are experiencing difficulties in catering for these.  Both young girls and boys benefit from our partner schools, to make sure that they get assistance with hygiene packs through the schools from this program.

 Dignitary Packs distribution

We’ve kicked off our dignitary packs distribution to our different partner schools (Lobamba Lomdzala, Lobamba National, St Annes, and Bosco high school).  Moya distributed about 180 items to four High Schools for the past three months. In each school we work closely with career guidance teachers in identifying children who are needy. Moya distributed sanitary pads, toothpastes, soaps, shoe polish, body lotion and roll-ons, each school gets 15 items of each.

Change

Speaking to the career guidance teachers, they are very happy with the dignitary packs program as a lot of needy children are benefiting from it thus boosting their appearance and self-esteem.

Challenge: The items are very small for the groups, the schools have a very large number of needy children, and it’s a pity we cannot help them all.
