This is a mid-term report describing the ongoing of the Projet #63942 "Dignity & Post-Maternity Kits for IDP women in DRC". Ineed, this project aimed to provide Dignity Kits to 1500 women and girls and Post-Maternity kits to 1000 pregnant women who fled the recent war in North Kivu, DRC and who are currently living in the Internally Displaced People's camps (IDP) near Goma. The women and girls as beneficiaries of this project were to be relieved by obtaining dignity kits for their menstrual hygiene and thus prevent them from diseases. Women and girls need their dignity and cleanliness during their periods. These kits should contribute to reducing the cases of infection experienced by most displaced women and girls, especially during this difficult period. For these women and girls, receiving a loincloth in their situation is a way of honoring them. In the same vein, pregnant women and girls would also see their suffering alleviated through the receipt of post-maternity kits.
However, until this date, we have not yet received any donations. Given that the issue of menstrual hygiene for women and young girls, especially those displaced by war, is very necessary for not only the beneficiaries, but also for all their families because their health is at stake, we are relaunching this call to DONATIONS for dignity kits but also kits for women but also post-maternity kits for pregnant women and girls.
