Thank you to all of our sustaining donors & those who have just found our campaign — we are thrilled to have you all on board. Here’s a general overview of where we stand with Digitizing Cultural Heritage & Historic Sites in Venezuela.
Our work on the San Rafael de Mucuchíes Chapel, built by Juan Félix Sánchez from 1980 - 1984, is still underway. We had a team together and ready to reshoot the Chapel this Spring, but unfortunately electricity issues in the area caused another delay, and we are now scheduled to reshoot the church in the fall..
We are awaiting hard drive shipments from Venezuela, but due to the increased instability in the country over the past couple of months, it has been difficult getting shipments to and from the country. Rest assured, we are exploring all our options and hope to begin solving new models from the Palace of the Academies and Quinta de Anauco Colonial Art Museum very soon.
As such, we unfortunately don’t have any new images to share...but please do head to our collections pages on our website (link attached) to view all of our Venezuela projects.
Again, thank you so much to all our supporters & donors — we couldn’t do it without you!
