We would sincerely like to thank all our donors on behalf of the Digital Literacy Project for your generous support and donations. Your support has enabled us to continue basic computer skills to underprivileged children & youths, who are otherwise living under digital exclusion.
We are glad to share that second batch of 14 (girls & women) from Jagatpura Center and 20 (boys and girls) from Malviya Nagar Centre have successfully completed their three months Basic Computer Course in Dec 2016. Post completion these students have received certificates from Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, Rajasthan.
Currently, a third batch of 31 pupils (which includes 17 students from Grade VI, 8 government teachers and 6 girls) in Jagatpura and 15 pupils (boys and girls) in Malviya Nagar have been enrolled from January 2017 and will complete their training on Basic Computer Course in March.
Government accredited basic computer course- Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology (RS-CIT), is imparted to these trainees under which learners are trained on basics of Microsoft, Excels, PowerPoint, Paints etc. In 2016-17, a total of 181 boys and girls have acquired computer skills from 22 computers in two centers of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Digital literacy Project has given access to computer literacy, usage and technology familiarity among underprivileged children. Also, it has empowered youths with necessary skills in the workforce enabling them to increase their employability.
