About the organization
Al Mehran Research & Development Foundation (AMRDF) is managing ten schools through public private partnership with Govt. of Sindh, where more than 3500 poor students are getting free and quality education and more than 250 staff are engaged for teaching and non teaching purpose. Beside its education initiative, the organization has been active participant in other development initiative, like provision flood relief items to the flood affectees 2010, establishing temporary learning centers, and providing skills development training to adult and adolescents.
Project Detail
The organization has vowed to establish digital classrooms for the students besides providing them free and quality education. In this perspective, the organization has established its first ever digital classroom with the financial support of our valuable donors and the GlobalGiving. We believe that in today’s era, education without technology is nothing. The world has moved towards one global village and the teaching patterns have been changed to more informative through audio visual learning. More than 800 students will benefit from the first donation received from our valuable donors that is 500 USD.
Project Activities
A digital white board has been installed at one school being operated by Al Mehran Research and Development Foundation. The rooms has been arranged which is about 16x22 of size. Furniture and fixture has also been maintained in the classrooms. Our next step is to add the matching donation and purchase solar system for the classroom. During the class, many students from different classes observed the technology based teaching and they enjoyed it all. There is more chance to learn with technology then of without it.
