Project objective:
- To organize detection camps in all project villages and offer free blood and urine tests and testing of blood pressure to all men and women above 35 years of age;
- To refer persons with symptoms of diabetes and high blood pressure to secondary health care institutions of their choice;
- To organize quarterly follow-up contacts of all persons identified with symptoms and referred for treatment and repeat free blood and urine tests and testing of blood pressure;
Program:
Regular Program of Diabetes checking @ Kannamangalm – pudupettai village, we cover one camp organized WFW ARTS AND MEDICAL INSTITUTE with the help of GLOBLAL GIVING PARTNER SUPPORT. The LIONS CLUB OF KANNAMANGALAM members also came and participated above program.
The students in the ST. Mary’s school of nursing - Diploma in Nursing and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology students were organized the detection camps. At the time of camp, blood, urine tests, blood pressure and let people know the results on the spot in the village situation. Awareness will be created by pamphlets.
