Developing Vulnerable Kids Thru Sport South Africa

Thank you for supporting our work in Nelson Mandela Bay! We have had another successful year using sport as a tool to transform children's lives!

Our high school students have stood out this year with their hard work and dedication to their goals. This year we supported 85 high schoolers with full scholarships to top high schools in the area. At the top high schools, the students are provided with high-quality education, access to top-level facilities and top-tier coaching. It can often be a big jump for our high schoolers to go from a low-income primary school to a top high school, they often find it hard to fit in and keep up academically. However, with our support and their resilience, our high schoolers stood out academically and athletically this year.

This year 15 participants have received awards for their outstanding achievements! These awards range from top academic achievements to leadership to sports awards. Some of our standout students include the top 5 in the grade academically, the best junior hockey player and academic excellence.
